Our New Storefront Design!

Yes, it is really true! Rainbow is finally able to redo our old storefront. Thanks to a matching grant from the Fondren Renaissance Group and the hard work of many people, this new design has been approved and you should start seeing changes soon.

"Rainbow Natural Grocery" will be the new name of the store. We have not changed our Articles of Incorporation as Rainbow Whole Foods, Inc, A.A.L. We are still a co-op and operate under the exact same rules that we have in the past. The standards of Rainbow have not changed. We are using this new name to make advertising easier and to eliminate confusion as to whether we are open to the public or not.

Our old name, "Rainbow Whole Foods Co-operative Grocery" was descriptive, but way to "wordy" to fit well in today's advertising market. Also, for years we are frequently asked, "Is Rainbow open to the public?", or "Can I shop at Rainbow or is it just for members?". It got to the point that we decided we were losing potential customers.

The board voted a few years back to start using this new name when the new storefront was able to be put into place. Now that we have the funds to do that, it is time to start using our new name as well.
